Additionally, Aguayo spearheads staffing and recruitment efforts at corporate and store levels, while working on benefit programs for more than 2,000 employees at the San Jose, Calif.-based Hispanic supermarket chain. Aguayo previously spent more than a decade at El Super in Southern California, where he managed human resources duties for more than 5,000 employees across 46 stores and oversaw the development of training programs focused on customer service, sexual harassment, safety, and management. Additionally, he led hiring efforts and managed the company’s benefits, workers compensation and general liability programs. Aguayo’s additional industry experience in HR management includes Venquest Hotel Group, and Disneyland Resorts. Aguayo has a master’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University, and is bilingual in English and Spanish.
