About the Person

Joris is responsible for the onboarding, recruitment and retention of Grovo employees.   Recognized as one of the most progressive forces in HR, he acts as a business partner to all functional areas of the company while maintaining Grovo’s unique culture and crafting the company’s growth strategy. Joris joined Grovo from Squarespace, where he served as Vice President of People for two years. Previously, Joris helped Atlassian rapidly scale from 130 employees to 700 employees as its Vice President of People. Earlier in his career, he worked as a General Manager in HR consulting firm Chandler Macleod and the Australian Department of Employment.   Joris holds a Masters Degree in Human Resources from Tilburg University in the Netherlands. He lives in New York City with his wife Xi Liu.
