About the Person
Joni Lahuis is the Vice President of Human Resources at Catholic Charities West Michigan. As the new Vice President of Human Resources at CCWM, LaHuis will oversee the management of all human resources functions at the social services provider, including staffing, performance management processes, agency-wide employee recognition, workers` compensation, policies, compensation, benefits and safety and health. LaHuis also will be responsible for training, development and employee relations. LaHuis has experience managing and developing human resources strategies in her previous roles as manager and director of human resources for Pridgeon and Clay. Prior to her appointment at CCWM, LaHuis oversaw talent acquisition, retention, engagement, benefits, retirement, wellness, and training and development for the manufacturing company`s U.S. and global facilities. LaHuis has an academic background in human resources management from Grand Valley State University and a master`s degree in management from Aquinas College.
