About the Company
As an affiliate chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), HR Collier is a vibrant group of over 200 human resource professionals who come together to discuss issues related to human resource management and to find ways to better serve their employers and employees. Whether you are new to the HR field or have many years of experience, we are a local starting point for networking, information, professional development and continued support of excellence in Human Resources. HR Collier provides monthly meetings with speakers, educational programs, Tri-County Conference, and numerous opportunities to network with human resource professionals. If you are not already a member of our chapter, click here for information on joining. As a reminder, all memberships are individual-based (not company-based) in accordance to SHRM guidelines. We are always looking for VOLUNTEERS! Serving as a volunteer is a great way to give back to the HR community and to network with your peers. It is also a great way to use skills you already have or to develop a new skill you need. We welcome your use of this site as a resource, and encourage you to check back frequently for updated information. About the Person
Joni began her career in Albany, New York, when Human Resources was Personnel! Her areas of experience include training, coaching, facilitating, recruitment, employee relations and benefits administration. She has experience in local, county and state government, large corporations, not-for-profit, health care and has recently added employee benefits to her list of industries. Joni joined the team of Boys & Girls Club of Collier County in May of 2014. Her self-described mission is to hire the best people to "enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Joni earned her PHR in 2007, and started facilitating PHR/SPHR Certification study groups at the time HR Collier began offering the service. Joni joined the Board of HR Collier in 2011, as Director of Certification. In 2013 Joni was selected to serve as President-Elect, and proudly served as President for 2014. Not willing to sit back, Joni volunteered to continue with the Board as Director of Certification again for 2015, which marks a significant change to Certification due to SHRMs roll-out of its own Certification Program, as well as continuance of HRCIs Program.
