Jonathan P. Ferrando, also known as Jon, has been an Executive Vice President of Corporate Development & Human Resources and General Counsel at AutoNation, Inc. since March 2011. Mr. Ferrando served as Executive Vice President at Autonation, Inc. since March 2005 until March 2011. Mr. Ferrando served as Secretary and General Counsel of Autonation, Inc. from January 2000 to March 2011. Mr. Ferrando is responsible for AutoNation`s legal and human resources functions includes employee and labor relations, recruiting and staffing, performance management, succession planning and development, and executive compensation. As General Counsel, he oversees its team of attorneys responsible for all aspects of AutoNation`s legal affairs and government relations. Mr. Ferrando served as a Senior Vice President of AutoNation, Inc. since January 2000. Mr. Ferrando served as Senior Vice President of Autonation, Inc. since January 2000. Mr. Ferrando joined AutoNation, Inc. in July 1996 and served in various capacities within Legal Department, including as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Automotive Retail Group from March 1998 until January 2000. Prior to joining AutoNation, Inc. Company, he was a Corporate Attorney in Chicago, Illinois with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom from 1991 until 1996. Mr. Ferrando served as a Director at LKQ Corp. from April 2000 to October 31, 2003. Mr. Ferrando Graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor`s degree in Economics in 1988 and also from Harvard Law School in 1991.
