Mr. John J. McDevitt has been Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Labor Relations at UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc since 2012. Mr. McDevitt served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Labor Relations at United Parcel Service, Inc. from 2012 to December 31, 2014. Mr. McDevitt served as Senior Vice President of Global Transportation Services at United Parcel Service, Inc. from February 14, 2005 to 2011. Mr. McDevitt was responsible for managing United Parcel's worldwide intermodal transportation network, which includes the world's 9th largest airline, a surface delivery fleet of 88,000 vehicles, rail and other distribution services. He progressed through operations positions of increasing responsibility and was district manager overseeing operations in both East and West Long Island, New York. He was chosen to develop and implement UPS's Corporate Compliance Program in 1996 and later that year he joined the Corporate Labor Relations Department. Since 2000, he was Air Operations Region Manager in Louisville and oversaw the completion of Worldport. He was named to the Management Committee as Strategic Integration Group Manager in 2003. He had responsibility for Transportation and Labor Relations in 2005. He served as Senior Vice President - Strategic Integration of United Parcel Service, Inc. from 2003 to February 14, 2005 and served as its Labour Relations Group Manager since 2005. He was Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Labor Relations at United Parcel Service of America, Inc until December 16, 2014. He served as Group Manager of United Parcel Service, Inc. since 2005. He joined UPS in 1976 as a package handler and was promoted into management in 1981. Mr. McDevitt was elevated in March 2003 to UPS' Management Committee, which directs the day-to-day management of UPS. He began his UPS career in 1976 by working part-time while attending Rutgers University. He was promoted to full-time management and held various assignments of increasing responsibility. In 1991, he was assigned to manage hub operations in North Florida. A year later, he was promoted to manager of the East Long Island District, then he served as Manager of the West Long Island District two years later. Mr. McDevitt was assigned to UPS's corporate office in 1996 to launch UPS's corporate compliance program. Later that year, Mr. McDevitt joined the labor relations department to work on union negotiations. He oversaw the development of Worldport, the air hub that became the largest expansion project in UPS history and the centerpiece of UPS's global distribution network. He served as Vice President of UPS air operations since 1999, responsible for managing all the ground operations that support the UPS Airline, including the new UPS Worldport(SM) in Louisville, Ky. From 1992 to 1996, Mr. McDevitt managed two different Districts in the Northeast and in 1996, he was promoted to UPS's national staff to launch its corporate compliance program. He served at the UPS Labor Relations Department to work on union negotiations. He served on The Library Foundation board in Louisville and the Board of the Partnership for Kentucky Schools. In April 2005, he got elected to Junior Achievement's Worldwide Board of Directors. Mr. McDevitt studied at Rutgers University.
