John Crum has over 25 years of experience in building successful companies, developing powerful business strategies, designing people-centered human resources systems, and communicating a firm’s brand across all levels- inside and outside the organization. With a specialty in global Human Resources, John founded and then sold a successful, cutting-edge NYC based management consultancy. John lived and worked in Japan for over 5 years and Germany for 2 years, speaks conversational Japanese, and has been featured in various media outlets such as “NBC News with Brian Williams” as an expert on Japanese business. John has worked on business and HR projects with some of Japan’s largest companies, including Toyota, Mitsubishi, Mitsukoshi, Sapporo Beer, Uniqlo and Ito-En. He has presented seminars to over 10,000 business leaders around the world and has written several books published in Japanese on the issue of cross-cultural business success. Today, John is the Senior Vice President, Talent & Brand Management for dataSpring. He is based out of Los Angeles, California. His core responsibilities include Global Human Resource, Corporate Affairs and Brand Development. John`s primary mission with dataSpring is to ensure the firm`s internal culture is aligned with its external brand.
