About the Person
Joe F. Williams, CPP is the Director, Global Payroll Services for Bristol-Myers Squibb where he is responsible for managing the in-country payrolls for employees in 50 countries including Europe, Middle East, Africa, North America, South America, Latin America and Asia/Pacific. Prior to Bristol-Myers Squibb, Williams was the global payroll director for Lenovo where he managed payrolls in 58 countries. Prior to his role at Lenovo, he served as senior director Payroll Operations for YRC Worldwide Inc. In addition, Williams retired from the U. S. Marine Corps as a Captain in 1994 with over 20 years of honorable service where he supported U.S. Marines worldwide prior to transitioning to a new civilian career. Williams` area of expertise has consistently been focused in financial management where he has over 30 years of experience in the payroll/finance/accounting profession. Joe received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Accounting) in 1984 from Auburn University and a Master of Science degree in Financial Management in 1990 from The Naval Post-Graduate School. Williams is a Certified Payroll Professional and is currently a member of the APA`s Strategic Payroll Leadership Task Force.
