About the Company
The university can trace its beginning to 1891 when members of the Church of the Brethren, moving west to California, founded Lordsburg College. When the surrounding agricultural community of Lordsburg was renamed to La Verne in 1917, the institution followed suit and La Verne College was established. To provide opportunities for students to achieve their educational goals and become contributing citizens to the global community. About the Person
As Chief Human Resources Officer at the University of La Verne, Jody Bomba is the senior human resources administrator who oversees all people-related functions for 1,200 faculty and staff. Her tenure at La Verne has included significantly improving the human resources processes and cost containment. With a strategic plan, Bomba has successfully led her team and improved online recruitment, training and development programs. Bomba’s prior experience includes Vice President of Human Resources at the Los Angeles Mission, Director of Human Resources and Adjunct Professor at Azusa Pacific University, and Senior Vice President & Director of Human Resources at Foothill Independent Bank. She holds a master’s degree in organizational management from Azusa Pacific University and the Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification.
