About the Person

Joann Getchell has more than 20 years of experience in U.S and international consulting and corporate environments. Her approach to HR issues uniquely combines her extensive HR experience with her broad business background to ensure any HR initiative is developed and implemented in the broader context of the business’ strategy and objectives. Prior to joining Bridgepoint, Joann’s corporate experience is with Ziff-Davis Corporation and IBM Corporation in a variety of HR management roles. Joann guided Ziff-Davis through many mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring to ensure employee and company interests were considered in the resulting new restructure. She has an extensive background regarding employee career paths and training, compensation levels and appropriate measurement systems. Joann earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development and Sociology from Colby College and a Master of Business Administration from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
