About the Person

Jim Parrish is Deputy City Manager - Administrative Services for the City of Plano, Texas. He is responsible for coordinating the city’s internal service-related functions, including Information Services, Finance, Budget, Human Resources, Marketing & Community Engagement and Media Relations.   Mr. Parrish is active in several professional associations. Mr. Parrish is Vice President of the National Public Employer Labor Relations Association. He is a past president of the Texas Municipal Human Resources Association and a former board member of the Texas Municipal League. Mr. Parrish is a charter member of the Public Employees Benefit Alliance and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management SHRM.   Mr. Parrish earned B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from West Texas A & M University. He joined the City of Plano in 2011 as Human Resources Director and was appointed Deputy City Manager in 2014.
