About the Person
Jeffrey S. Klein, also known as Jeff, is the Director of Human Resources and Employee Development at PCS Structural Solutions. As a principal in the Tacoma office for 17 years, he will also taking on the new internal leadership roll. Klein will continue to be involved in the design of hospital facilities, most recently focusing on projects with MultiCare Health System, CHI Franciscan Health and Providence Health & Services. Jeff became a Structural Engineer because he thoroughly enjoys taking a project from a simple thought or idea and creating a structural design that supports a tangible experience. He begins each project by listening to and understanding the architect`s and owner`s needs and desires, and allows them to help inform the design and construction of the building. Jeff has managed many educational, healthcare, and high end residential projects that apply a wide variety of structural systems and unique delivery solutions. Within PCS Structural Solutions, he leads the Employee Development Group which directs the staff training process. Jeff`s daily life is driven by his motivation to help improve the lives of those in his family and community, beginning with his two sons. He has been involved in fundraising for many charitable organizations such as the National MS Society, The Susan G. Komen Foundation, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, where he chaired a golf tournament for 10 years. He received a bachelor`s degree from Washington State University and a master`s degree from University of Colorado.
