About the Person
Janice Wakatsuki is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Aqua-Aston Hospitality. She brings more than 30 years of experience to the position. In her new role, Wakatsuki provides human resources leadership and strategy and is responsible for overseeing the administration employee and labor relations, compensation, benefits, and recruitment for the corporate office and the properties that Aqua-Aston Hospitality manages in Hawaii and the Mainland U.S. Prior to joining Aqua-Aston Hospitality, Wakatsuki served as the corporate director of human resources for Outrigger Enterprises where she was responsible for the overall management of HR for the corporate office and 24 properties in Hawaii. She also held senior-level positions with Hawaii Health Systems and the Hyatt Regency in Honolulu. Wakatsuki received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Travel Industry Management from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
