About the Person
Jan Steinmetz is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Bridgestone Americas, effective December 7, 2015. Steinmetz will lead the company`s international human resource programming for nearly 55,000 teammates, and be located at Bridgestone`s Nashville-based Americas Support Center and headquarters. As Chief Human Resources Officer, Steinmetz will oversee the efforts of teams driving organizational culture, talent acquisition, teammate development and training, compensation and benefits, and all other business and functional HR programs. Previously Steinmetz spent more than 32 years at Royal Dutch Shell, serving in a number of vice presidency roles for the company throughout the United States and Canada, and holding sales and business consultancy roles in addition to his HR leadership. He has worked in a number of Shell businesses, including exploration and production (onshore and offshore), mining, refining, retail, commercial and supply and distribution. Jan earned a bachelor`s and master`s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
