James R. Mortensen, also known as Jim was appointed Senior Vice President, Human Resources in March 2014. He joined Philip Morris International in April 2002 as Vice President, Marketing & Sales of Philip Morris Japan Kabushiki Kaisha and served as its President from September 2005 until January 2008 when he was appointed Managing Director for Mexico, Ecuador, Peru and Central America. In March 2010, he was appointed President, Latin America & Canada Region and in March 2014 Senior Vice President, Human Resources. Before joining Philip Morris International, Mr. Mortensen held various positions at PM USA and from 1999 to 2002 was Senior Vice President, Sales & Distribution at Miller Brewing Company. Mr. Mortensen holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and a MBA with concentration on Finance from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
