Island Nursing Home and Care Center, established in 1983. We serve 70 residents—38 in nursing (including a small number in skilled nursing) and 32 in residential care. We are one of only five independent, non-profit nursing homes in Maine. We have consistently earned the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services` (CMS) top rating of five stars. Our mission is to provide the highest level of innovative and quality healthcare to an aging population while maintaining community relations and honoring our core values of care, compassion, and service.
