Founded in 1848, Muhlenberg is a highly selective, private, four-year liberal arts college located in the beautiful Lehigh Valley of eastern Pennsylvania. The College took its present name in 1867 from Henry Melchior Muhlenberg, patriarch of the Lutheran Church in the American Colonies. The University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois serves 3,900 students nationwide, offering 49 undergraduate programs and 19 graduate programs, including two doctoral programs. Degree completion programs are also available. Programs are offered in arts and science, business, education, nursing, health care and social work.
