Our endeavor started small, with one singular focus – to intimately understand the journey of individuals suffering with addiction. People with addiction are often stereotyped and discounted, creating an environment where many are under-diagnosed, undertreated and under-supported. They`re often unaware of their treatment options, have limited access to treatment, or simply don`t seek it out because they`re afraid of being stigmatized. Since our inception, we have actively partnered with healthcare professionals, the public health community, policy makers, and payers to humanize people suffering from addiction and to treat addiction as a chronic, relapsing medical condition rather than a social disorder. We believe that people with addiction should be treated as patients, just like people with other chronic diseases. The past two decades have been marked by strong growth and an expansion into more than 40 countries. While treatment for opioid use disorder has seen much innovation, we at Indivior are building on our intimate understanding of the patient journey to further advance addiction treatment including opiate overdose, alcohol use disorders, and co-occurring conditions such as schizophrenia by bringing to market novel treatment solutions worldwide.
