About the Person

Imtiaz Shaikh is Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Hitachi Ltd. He brings unique blend of Strategic and Operational experience across Financial and Technology sectors spanning across Marketing, Customer Operations, Information Technology, Legal Operations and for the past 9+ years in Human Resources.  For the past 9 years, he has been focused on HR transformational activities at Hitachi--first at Hitachi Data Systems and for the past couple of years with Hitachi Ltd.  Hitachi Ltd. is working on Global HR transformation to shift overall HR Management of 300K employees across 800+ subsidiaries by developing and leveraging best in class HR practices and platform that will allow Hitachi to scale at the monumental proportion.   Imtiaz is responsible for driving portfolio of Global HR Initiatives. Prior to joining Hitachi Ltd.,  Imtiaz worked at Hitachi Data Systems; a subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd., leading the establishment of HR Shared Services, Client Facing HR and overall HR transformation efforts.  He has applied his diverse experience to create the HR vision and delivered a scalable HR foundation including Global HR data, Manager Self-Service, Compensation System, HR Case Management System, Workforce Analytics, HR Support Center and end-to–end Talent Management System.  At Hitachi Data Systems, he was also responsible for Client Facing HR function.   At HDS, HR has successfully shifted its historical value proposition of “Transaction Processor” to now as a “Strategic Partner”-- helping to drive business growth though human capital.
