About the Person
Homer Rogers is the Human Resources Director at City of Dublin, Ohio, effective August 4, 2015. Rogers served as the Director of Human Resources for the Ohio Adjutant General`s Department from 2009 – 2015 managing the human resource needs of over 3,400 federal, state and military employees. Prior to that he was a Deputy Army Personnel Officer for the Ohio Army National Guard from 2005 – 2009. He recently chaired a national level committee for the human resources efforts of the National Guard in all 54 states and territories. Rogers recently retired with the rank of Colonel after 30 years of active duty military service. Dublin`s Human Resources Director manages the City`s recruitment and selection process, the classification and compensation systems, the city-wide professional development initiative, the customer service and wellness programs and employee and labor relations including collective bargaining. He also oversees occupational safety, health administration and insurance and risk management. Rogers received a bachelor`s degree in business administration from the University of Dayton and a master`s degree in strategic studies from the US Army War College. He is currently completing another Masters in Business Administration at Indiana Wesleyan University.
