The Leon Levy Foundation, based in New York, is a private philanthropic foundation, created in 2004 from the estate of Leon Levy, a financier who died in 2003 at the age of 77. Leon Levy had a passion for expanding knowledge and believed in the power of ideas and a just and equitable society. This broad humanism also defined his philanthropy.
