Ellie the HROIC Elephant We are often asked why we chose an elephant to symbolize the HROIC spirit. Elephants are wise and have good memories; we make mistakes valuable, remember our lessons and impart this guidance on clients. Elephants are loyal and protective; HROIC too is fiercely protective and supportive of clients. We have all experienced the awkward feeling of navigating around an “elephant in the room.” HR professionals and employment attorneys especially can relate to having to address challenges that result from the inability to effectively deal with an “uncomfortable situation” or lead a “difficult conversation”.
