About the Person

Gregory Karanastasis is the Vice President, Global Head of Talent Acquisition for Pitney Bowes. He is responsible for the design, development, leadership and execution of effective recruiting strategies globally. This encompasses delivering on approximately 4000 hires across digital commerce, software, location intelligence and shipping/mailing solution verticals. Gregory was previously with McGraw Hill Financial and held several roles within HR over the past eight years. His most recent position was Senior Director of Global Talent Acquisition & Internal Mobility. In this position, Gregory was responsible for leading the design and implementation of Talent Acquisition, an enterprise-wide Internal Mobility strategy and HR compliance (affirmative action programs).  Together, these solutions enabled McGraw Hill Financial to leverage its talent initiatives for future growth. Previously, Gregory was Director, Talent Management, for McGraw Hill Financial leading programs and initiatives related to talent development including leadership and management development, succession planning, performance management and high potential development.  Gregory also held a position in HR M&A for key acquisitions in the Platts business. In this role as HR Director M&A he worked closely with Corporate Strategy to coordinate all aspects of M&A activity across the HR functions. This included working with Corporate HR functions and the business HR partners from initial review and due diligence through the integration. Before that, Gregory worked for Pitney Bowes, where he was Manager, Strategic Talent Management for the Global Mailing Division. In this role, Gregory facilitated PB`s Leadership Review Process enabling robust succession plans for future growth. In addition, Gregory led all Executive Recruitment for the Global Mailing Division, Engineering and Corporate divisions. Gregory also worked for Ikon Office Solutions as a Senior Recruiter overseeing all sales recruiting for the Northeast. Prior to being a part of the Ikon team, Gregory was with Randstad where he held the position of Branch Manager, overseeing the Stamford, CT office and managing a four million dollar P&L. Gregory has a Bachelor`s of Science degree in Marketing from the Auburn University, has been PHR certified since 2005 is a board member for I4CP`s Talent Acquisition vertical and has served on SHRM`s HR Discipline Panel focused on Global Talent Acquisition.
