About the Person

Greg Steltenpohl is an American businessman, entrepreneur, and the founder of numerous successful companies, including Odwalla Inc. and Califia Farms. Steltenpohl received an undergraduate degree in environmental studies from Stanford University in 1977 and founded Odwalla Inc in 1980. He served as the CEO and Chairman of Odwalla until 2000, when he sold the company to Coca Cola for $180 million. In addition to his work with Odwalla, Steltenpohl co-founded the Interra Project in 2000, Adina for Life in 2004, and Califia Farms in 2010. He has also served on the board of numerous organizations, including Slow Money Alliance, Social Venture Network, Frontier Natural Products Cooperative, and the Institute of Food Technologists. Today Steltenpohl is the Chief Executive Officer of Califia Farms, a grower-owner company that is dedicated to highlighting the regional agricultural heritage of California by promoting farmer-owned brands. In addition to his work with Califia Farms, Steltenpohl has been instrumental in starting a regional Slow Food Producers Center on the central coast of California.
