About the Person
Gia Lamarca is a Managing Director in the Human Resources department of Cushman & Wakefield’s Capital Markets Group. Previously, she was Senior Vice President, Human Resources and one of the firm’s Partners at Massey Knakal Realty Services. Gia Lamarca worked with Massey Knakal for over 15 years and transitioned to Cushman & Wakefield upon Massey Knakal’s acquisition December 2014. As Managing Director, Human Resources, Ms. LaMarca is responsible for recruiting the firm`s brokerage force across New York and New Jersey. She, too, is involved in high level searches of corporate needs. Ms. LaMarca’s daily HR responsibilities include a variety of areas across management, personnel, compliance, career development, benefits/compensation, organization and strategy. Ms. LaMarca joined Massey Knakal’s Queens office in 2000. After a year in a brokerage support capacity, Ms. LaMarca spearheaded the Human Resources and Recruiting department for the firm, an effort taken on while studying Economics full-time at Fordham University. Ms. LaMarca began the department in September 2001 focusing on building the Queens and Manhattan operations. In 2002, she was integral in staffing the entire Brooklyn office with brokers, associates, and administrative support. She next took on the expansion into Staten Island, the Bronx, Westchester, Nassau, and New Jersey. Additionally, Ms. LaMarca ran the company’s Training program in 2009 and 2010. She is a founding board member and prior Secretary of the Massey Knakal Charitable Foundation, which supports local educational, family and other community-oriented charitable causes primarily within New York City and the Tri-State area.
