About the Person

Gerry is the Sr. Vice President of Human Resources (Chief Human Resources Officer) at Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. headquartered in Rochester, NY. Gerry started with Wegmans in August of 1975. He has been the Sr. VP of Human Resources since July of 1986. In his role, Gerry oversees all HR functions including Employee Relations, Organizational Design and Total Rewards Design and Administration. Under his leadership, the Human Resources Department has enabled the company and its 45,000 employees to be recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of “The 100 Best Companies to Work for in America” (Levering & Maskowicz) for 1997 – 2014, being ranked #1 in 2005.  Gerry is the Board Chairman of the Hillside Work Scholarship Connection. He is on the Board at Wilmot Cancer Center and Rochester Institute of Technology Board Trustee. Gerry holds a MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
