We opened our first restaurant in Berlin in 1989 and spent the next decade developing our products and recipes, creating our own unique blend of spices, innovating our signature sauces and perfecting our distinctive `Doner Kebab` waffle bread. Our gourmet Doner Kebabs are made using only the best premium quality ingredients. To maintain quality and consistency we use lean succulent meats imported directly from Germany, and the freshest locally produced vegetables that are delivered and prepared daily along with our handmade bread. Every order we make at GDK is freshly prepared to ensure our guests have a great experience each and every time. This is what makes German Doner Kebab a truly unique taste experience for our customers. The GDK brand started building momentum in 2017 when it was purchased by Athif Sarwar. With the Sarwar family`s strong background in business and extensive knowledge and success in franchising, the brand has grown at great pace with 65 restaurants in UK, Europe and Middle East and now rapidly expanding in the USA, Canada, Saudi Arabia and Ireland.
