The Montreal Canadiens were officially founded on December 4, 1909. With an NHL record of 24 Stanley Cup Championships, we are proud to have a fan base that reaches all continents. Much more than a professional sports franchise, we are dedicated to our community through a broad spectrum of initiatives ranging from hospital visits, blood drives and the construction of artificial and multipurpose community rinks in underprivileged neighborhoods. The AHSAA merged with the Alabama Interscholastic Athletic Association in 1968, forming one high school athletic association for the State of Alabama in accordance with a court order relating to athletics.
