London, UK-based Unilever promoted Geoff McDonald to Global VP of HR.

About the Person

Geoff has had a great 21 years with Unilever. The first 8 years were spent working in various HR Roles in South Africa, where he then transferred to London and worked across Africa, Middle East and Turkey for 5 years and found it absolutely fascinating. Thereafter Geoff held the position of VP HR Unilever Australasia and spent two wonderful years in Sydney! He returned to the UK in 2005 as VP Leadership and Talent Development and in May 2007 was appointed Global VP HR HPC categories. In this role he played an active part in the transformation of the Global Laundry business and in April of 2010 was appointed into the current role where he Business Partners the Chief Marketing Communications Officer who sits on the Unilever Executive Team. Additional Interests / Activities include: Enhancing the employability of young adults attending universities / schools, in helping them to build their competitive edge. He participates in a Business Advisory Group on how best to rehabilitate prisoners, such that their release into society is successful. He speaks at various events related to Business and Sustainability.
