About the Person

Gary J. Kildare is an energetic and progressive business leader who has worked around the world and has over 30 years of international experience. Originally from Falkirk, Scotland, he joined the IBM Corporation in the UK.   He has deep experience of transformation, acquisitions, change management, leadership and enterprise risk management. Having spent many years outside the UK - he returned in 2005 as Chief HR Officer for Global Business Services for Europe (IBM`s fastest growing consulting services organisation), in 2008 he became Global Vice President of HR for Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific with accountability for over 430,000 employees worldwide.   In February 2012 he was appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer for Global Technology Services Division, based in New York; and in May 2014, he became Chief Human Resources Officer IBM Europe, based in Madrid.   Gary is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a GlobalScot and sits on the Criticaleye Advisory Board. He has served as a Non-Executive Director of Education Scotland, as a member of the Scottish Government`s Education study – `The Curriculum for Excellence`, a Non-Executive Director of the National Skills Academy (Financial Services), a Non-Executive advisor to Her Majesty`s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and a member of the People Committee and the Pay Review Committee; a member of the CBI business council for Scotland.   He received an honorary doctorate from Edinburgh Napier University in June 2012.
