Gail E. Brooks provides strategic leadership for the CSU`s human resources department overseeing labor relations, employee relations, compensation, policy development, benefits, academic human resources, information support, data research and analysis.   Prior to joining the CSU, Gail was the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Human Resources at the University of California, Irvine, for seven years where she provided strategic leadership to UCI`s comprehensive human resources programs.   Gail has a background in higher education, the private sector and non-profit sectors with more than 20 years experience in human resources, labor relations and the legal arena.   Gail holds a Juris Doctorate degree as well as a Master of Arts in Industrial Relations from Wayne State University, Michigan.
