The Charlotte Host Committee, CLT Host 2020, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) not for profit economic development organization with no political affiliation. CLT Host 2020, Inc. is responsible for hosting and funding the 2020 Republican National Convention to be held in Charlotte, North Carolina from August 24 - 27, 2020. As an economic development organization, CLT Host 2020, Inc. will highlight the Queen City`s premier business environment which supports the skilled and diverse workforce responsible for the region`s growth in national and international corporate offices and local businesses. The Charlotte region, North Carolina, and South Carolina offer an undeniable energy, full of passionate people from all walks of life whose differences make our communities stronger. CLT Host 2020, Inc. aims to showcase these characteristics and how our residents have created a world-class convention and event destination that attracts sporting events, corporate functions, and international art and musical tours. The North Carolina Industrial Commission is an agency of the State of North Carolina created by the General Assembly in 1929 to administer the North Carolina Workers Compensation Act. In 1949, the Industrial Commission was also given authority by the General Assembly to administer the Tort Claims Act. Additionally, the Industrial Commission is charged with administering the Law Enforcement Officers, Firemens, Rescue Squad Workers and Civil Air Patrol Members Death Benefits Act, the Childhood Vaccine-Related Injury Compensation Program and Compensation to Persons Erroneously Convicted of Felonies.
The Office of Compliance (OOC) is an independent, non-partisan agency established to administer and enforce the Congressional Accountability Act (CAA) of 1995. OOC administers and ensures the integrity of the dispute resolution system established to resolve disputes that arise under the CAA; carries out an education and training program for Congressional Members, employing offices, and Congressional employees to assist them in understanding their rights and responsibilities under the CAA; and advises Congress on needed changes and amendments to the CAA. The General Counsel of the OOC has independent investigatory and enforcement authority for certain violations of the CAA.
