Cincinnati, OH-based Aircelle has Appointed Francis Gauvain as Vice President of Human Resources and Facilities
About the Company
Aircelle is one of the two world leaders in the market for engine nacelles on commercial airplanes. The company is a specialist in nacelle system integration, providing nacelle systems for all segments of the market, from regional and business jets to mainline commercial jets by Airbus and Boeing, all the way to the Airbus A380 super-jumbo jet. Aircelle is also one of the Group`s centers of excellence for composite materials, and makes composite parts for engines and aerostructures.
About the Person
Francis Gauvain has been appointed Vice President Human Resources and Facilities at Aircelle. He joined Snecma in 1981 as Quality control Engineer in non-destructive testing, then moved to the Technical Department of Measurements where he held various responsibilities (Ground and Flight test engineer, in charge of physical measurements). In 1996, Gauvain became Head of the Instrumentation and Measurements Department, and three years later, the Head of Engineering Department for test methods. Francis transitioned to Human Resources in early 2004, becoming Director of Human Resources for Snecma`s Industrial Direction, and Director of the company`s Villaroche, France site in 2007. In July 2010, he was named Deputy of Snecma Human Resources Department, leading Snecma`s human resources development. Francis Gauvain is a graduate of the Université de Technologie de Compiègne, and received a Master`s Degree in acoustics.
