Mackenzie Health Opened in 1963 (formerly York Central Hospital), Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital is a large community hospital located in Richmond Hill providing Emergency, Inpatient, Ambulatory, Continuing and Long-Term Care services to a community of over 500,000 residents in Southwest York Region. In 2009, the hospital received an expanded mandate from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to plan for the further development of the existing Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital site and the building of a new hospital in Vaughan. In addition to the services it currently provides to the community of Southwest York Region. Mackenzie Health is the District Stroke Centre for York Region and is home to a number of regional services including: the York Region Chronic Kidney Disease Program, York Region Domestic Assault and Sexual Assault Care Centre, and the York/Simcoe Behaviour Management and Autism Programs.
In May 2018, Cabell Huntington Hospital completed its acquisition of St. Mary's Medical Center, becoming the Mountain Health Network. Charleston Area Medical Center is the flagship of the CAMC Health System. CAMC is a nonprofit, 956-bed center with more than 7,000 employees. Cabell Huntington has 303 beds and serves more than 29 counties in West Virginia, eastern Kentucky and southern Ohio. St. Mary`s has 393 beds. Together, Cabell Huntington and St. Mary`s have more than 5,000 employees. Cabell Huntington Hospital is a not-for-profit, regional referral center located in Huntington, West Virginia. We care for patients from more than 29 counties throughout West Virginia, eastern Kentucky and southern Ohio. Opened in 1956, we are also a teaching hospital affiliated with the Marshall University Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing. Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, the largest children’s hospital in California, is a 442-bed pediatric care facility providing the largest source of comprehensive pediatric medical services in San Diego, Southern Riverside and Imperial Counties. Rady Children’s is the only hospital in the San Diego area dedicated exclusively to pediatric healthcare and is the region’s only designated pediatric trauma center. On October 10, 2010, Rady Children's opened the Acute Care Pavilion, a LEED-Certified (green) building that is home to the incredible new Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, the state-of-the-art Warren Family Surgical Center, and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit that cares for our community’s most fragile newborns. In 2001, Rady Children’s formed an affiliation agreement with the University of California-San Diego to unify pediatric patient care, research, education, and community service programs on the Rady Children’s campus.
