In April 2003, Doug became President and Chief Executive Officer of Ionics, Inc., a leading provider of membrane technology-based water purification equipment and services. Prior to 2003, Doug was CEO of Advent International, a leading global private equity firm. Doug is also currently an Operating Partner at Element Partners, a growth equity firm, where he leads their water investment strategy. Doug received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard Business School.rn
