About the Company
Akron General is one of only four hospitals in the nation to offer both intraoperative MRI and CT scanning systems. The addition of the intraoperative surgical suites has secured Akron General’s Neuroscience Institute as the area’s distinct leader in neurologic and neurosurgical care, offering the most advanced treatment and technology in addition to the premier specialists for which Akron General is known.

Don Corpora is the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Akron General Health System. Previously, Don had also served at Cleveland Clinic and Akron General Medical Center. Don serves as a Board member in the Executive Committee & Administrative Committee Chair at United Way of Summit County since January 2010 and as a Board member in the Human Resources and Facilities Committee Member at ACCESS, Inc. since January 2012. Don also serves as a Board member at Community Health Ventures, Inc. since July 2011 and at Summit Workforce Solutions since January 2010. Don earned BBA in Management and Labor Relations from Cleveland State University in 1988 and MBA in Health Care Administration from Cleveland State University in 1993.
