BSO`s Department of Detention and Community Programs administers the county`s five jails and its offender programs including Drug Court and County Probation. BSO also manages Broward County`s consolidated regional E911 emergency system for call intake and dispatch services for nearly all of Broward`s residents. The Department of Fire Rescue & Emergency Services provides fire suppression, fire protection, emergency medical services and educational programs for most unincorporated areas of Broward County and to several contracted municipalities in Broward County.
