About the Person

Dennis W. Shuler has been an Advisor to Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc. since May 2014. Mr. Shuler served as the Chief Human Resources Officer and Executive Vice President at Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc. until May 2014. He served as Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc. since May 01, 2013.   Mr. Shuler served as the Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources, chief human resources officer and a member of the executive leadership team at Kellogg Company. Since 2009, Mr. Shuler served as President of Core Strengths Management Consulting. He served as Chief Human Resources Officer and Executive Vice President of Walt Disney Co., from April 1, 2008 to April 23, 2009. He was responsible for areas that include leading Disney`s overall human resources strategy including global talent attraction, staffing and retention, leadership development, diversity, organizational design and cultural development, employee education and development, compensation and benefits and employee relations.   He worked with Procter & Gamble, where he spent 23 years serving in a variety of leadership capacities both in the United States and the United Kingdom. Mr. Shuler served as Vice President of P&G Beauty and Health and Well Being global business units from July 2006 through March 2008 and was responsible for providing strategic human resources direction including acquisition and divestiture planning, talent sourcing, leadership identification, development and planning, diversity and employee and labor relations. In particular, he played a significant leadership role in P&G`s three largest acquisitions to date of the Clairol, Wella and Gillette companies and the recent creation of the new Folgers`s Coffee Company.   He serves as Member of Advisory Board at Williams College of Business. He is a member of the Board of Visitors at The University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa; he is a visiting professor and Advisory Board member at Durham University at Durham in the United Kingdom; he is a member of the Marriott School of Business Human Resources Advisory Board at Brigham Young University at Provo, Utah; and, he serves on the Business Advisory Council at Kansas State University at Manhattan, Kansas.   The University of Alabama local Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter recognized him as the 2007 distinguished alumni. Mr. Shuler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Oswego and a Master of Arts in Human Resources Management from the University of Alabama where he graduated summa cum laude.
