About the Person

Denise Lynn was appointed Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources at SC Johnson on June 1, 2014. In this role, she is responsible for the company`s human resources policies and practices around the world.   Previously, Denise served in a similar capacity as the Senior Vice President, People at American Airlines during the airline`s restructuring in 2012 and 2013. Denise spent almost 25 years at American Airlines (AA), starting in the Finance organization and then moving into Human Resources where she held a number of leadership roles of increasing scope and responsibility before being promoted to the Chief Human Resources Officer role in May 2012.   In her previous positions, she led the benefits function for American, oversaw all people aspects of the integration of TWA into AA, was chief Human Resources officer for American Eagle Airlines, led Diversity and Talent Management, and spent time in the operation leading the 17,000 strong flight attendant team. Born and raised in London, Denise has a bachelor`s degree in economics from the University of Bath in England.   While working for London Transport, she was sent to the United States on special assignment as a consultant to advise Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) on the redesign of its bus network. While there she met her husband and they now have two college-age sons.
