About the Person
Offering more than 25 years experience in Human Resources and Operations, Deborah has taken on various roles at StarTech.com. Over the past decade, she has helped shape and steer the culture of the company. Deborah has also supported the organization to expand into 13 countries and quadruple its team of employees. She`s particularly proud of StarTech.com`s recognition as one of the 50 Best Small and Medium sized employers in Canada for 5 years; most recently achieving a 12th place ranking. Deborah has been an active volunteer for the United Way of London and Middlesex for more than five years serving the Cabinet as Chair of the Technology & Communication Division. She also provides human resource counsel on a voluntary basis to the Children`s Health Foundation and is on the board of Montessori Academy of London. What`s more, Deborah has been a member of the judging panel for Business of the Year sponsored by the London Chamber of Commerce for the past 4 years. Deborah earned a degree in Sociology and Psychology from The University of Western Ontario and has completed and Executive Program in Human Resources at the University of Michigan.
