About the Person

David is an Executive Coach and Human Capital Strategist, who helps Leaders to enhance results through more effective Decision-making, Relationship, Communications, and Process management practices. For Executives in transition, David helps to equip them with the frame of mind, the tools, and a methodology for executing on a successful transition process.   Most recently Head of Human Resources for Cloud based SaaS SMB Accounting Software Leader, FreshBooks, David has, over the course of his career, led Human Resources for organizations such as EA Sports (Canada), The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, and Alias Systems Inc.   David is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (with an ICD.d designation), sits on For-Profit and Not-For-Profit advisory boards, serves on the Human Resources & Compensation Committee for Cancer Care Ontario, and is a featured contributor to the monthly newsletter of the Strategic Capability Network.   Recognized while with FreshBooks as Employer of The Year (TRBT) and a Top 50 Employer (MediaCorp) and while with Alias, with an Academy Award, multiple Top 100 Employer awards and cover exposure in Maclean`s Magazine, and with an award for innovation by the Canadian Society of Training & Development, David champions measurable value-adding HR practices which contribute to business success.   A favourite saying of his: “All organizations employ talent.
