About the Person

Dany Paradis is Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Mr. Paradis was appointed to this position in June 2014 and is responsible for leveraging the strengths of the HR team and focusing on the evolution of Yellow Pages Group’s workforce while developing strategies that will instill an overall digital culture within the organization.   With more than 20 years of experience, Mr. Paradis brings to our company an accomplished career as a human resources management and public affairs executive having worked with a number of high-profile companies in the natural resources, athletics and professional services sector.   In a recent position as Vice-President, Change Management and Supply Chain at Fibrek, a pulp and paper company, Dany Paradis demonstrated his leadership and ability to  innovate and drive change in challenging and high-pressure times during the growth of the company and acquisition integration as the target of an unsolicited take-over.   In Mr. Paradis’ role as Vice-President, HR and Continuous Improvement at adidas Group, he was responsible for developing and implementing a unique people management approach that was strategically aligned with corporate business objectives.  He led a team composed of the executive group and other managers to develop new corporate values and was instrumental in employee engagement initiatives that aligned the company with the newly defined corporate culture. Mr. Paradis also spent seven years with Domtar Inc. as Vice-President HR for the Pulp and Paper Group and VP HR Services with responsibility of 10,000 employees. In this role, he played a key role in the transformation that Domtar had initiated in the early 2000s and was a member of the M&A and the integration team.   Early in his career, Mr. Paradis worked as a pension actuary consultant.   Dany Paradis holds a Bachelor of Actuarial Sciences degree from Laval University and is an Associate of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Society of Actuaries. Mr. Paradis also completed an Advance Leadership Program from McGill University and is certified from the Institute of Corporate Directors. He has held several boards of director positions with foundations, associations and public company.  He is socially engaged and is involved in fund raising for supporting the research to fighting against pediatric cancer.
