About the Person

Daniel S. Serbin is Executive Vice President, Corporate Human Resources of Parker Hannifin Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio. Serbin joined Parker on June 23, 1980, as an Assistant Personnel Manager for the Hydraulic Valve Division in Elyria, OH.Over the years, he has held various positions in the Human Resource function from Area Industrial Relations Manager to Area Human Resources Manager to Vice President, Human Resources for Parker’s Fluid Connectors Group.His experience spans several groups, including Motion & Control, Seal, Filtration, Hydraulics and Fluid Connectors. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Ohio State University, attained in 1975 and a Masters in Public Administration also from Ohio State University, attained in 1977. In addition, he also holds a Doctorate in Law from Cleveland Marshall College of Law, attained in 1988. During his tenure with Parker, Dan has attended many seminars and programs, both internal and external to Parker, that have enriched and diversified his scope of the Human Resource function in the workplace. He is currently a member of the Ohio Bar Association, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Northeast Ohio Human Resource Planning Society (NOHRPS). On a personal level, he has been involved with the Arthritis Foundation, Lorain County Joint Vocational School Advisory Board, the Cleveland State University Alumni Board andthe Avon Lake Basketball and Soccer Coach-Elementary Age.
