Dana R. McGee is the Director of Human Resources and Legal Compliance at Town of Rocky Hill, effective Jan. 5, 2015. Dana is a 46-year-old lawyer with a background that includes private practice work representing Connecticut municipalities and public personnel administration at the University of Connecticut. A 1990 University of Pennsylvania graduate, McGee earned a law degree three years later from Boston College Law School. At her most recent position, from December 2011 to May 2014, she worked as an associate attorney for the Rose Kallor law firm in Hartford, where she represented private employers and municipalities in litigation in state and federal courts and in administrative proceedings before state and federal agencies. She spent the nine prior years, from July 2002 to August 2011, at UConn, first as director, later associate vice president for diversity and equity. She reported directly to former Presidents Philip Austin and Michael Hogan and worked closely with the attorney general. She was actively involved in recruiting and hiring, compliance activities and designed and delivered state-mandated diversity and sexual harassment prevention training.
