The Big O Tires story begins back in 1962, just as Americas new love affair with the automobile was hitting high gear. The market for replacement tires was exploding, and independent tire dealers found themselves struggling to compete in the face of low prices offered by major tire manufacturers own company stores. Big Os founding fathers were a handful of progressive independent tire dealers who decided to band together to form a tire-buying cooperative so that they could secure volume pricing and keep their customers happy. Their concept worked. In the years that followed, The Big O Tires co-op evolved into a full-fledged franchise as it continued to find innovative ways to harness the power of the collective to benefit independent dealerships and their customers. Almost a half-decade later, Big O Tires has become North Americas largest retail tire franchisor, with over 400 independently-owned and operated locations in 20 states, providing customers with a broad range of automotive services in addition to quality tires, wheels and accessories. Big O has become an industry role model admired for its innovative approach to franchising and unmatched customer loyalty ratings. In 1996, Big O Tires joined forces with one of the largest and most respected tire marketers in the nation when it became part of the TBC Retail Group, an automotive retail network comprised of some 1,200 Big O Tires, Tire Kingdom, Merchants and NTB locations spanning 40 U.S. states. Big Os reach was broadened again in 2005, when TBC Corporation was acquired by Sumitomo Corporation of America, the largest wholly-owned subsidiary of Tokyo-based Sumitomo, one of the worlds leading traders of goods and services. As Big O Tires continues to thrive and adapt to an ever-changing marketplace, it remains rooted in its humble beginnings as a proud collective of independent dealers committed to putting its customers first.
Based in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, SSC North America is a hypercar manufacturer that specializes in limited production vehicles for elite clientele around the world. In 2007, the SSC Ultimate Aero, a high performance hypercar produced by SSC, legitimized the companys standing as a leading player in the worldwide hypercar market by officially becoming the "Worlds Fastest Production Car" as witnessed and recorded by Guinness World Records. The Ultimate Aero achieved an average two-way speed of 256.18 mph, making SSC one of only 26 manufactures in world history to hold this prestigious title. Today, SSC North America is in the late development stages of the next world record breaking hypercar, the Tuatara. It is the mission of Veterans Legal Services to help Massachusetts veterans overcome adversity by providing free civil legal aid that honors their service, promotes well-being, and responds to their distinctive needs. Veterans Legal Services (VLS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is the leader in providing free legal advice and representation to homeless and low-income veterans in the Greater Boston area and serves over 500 veterans cases per year at its legal clinics. By locating legal clinics at homeless shelters and service centers, VLS reaches members of our society who are often reluctant to seek legal help and is able to partner with shelter staff to provide holistic support. During its legal clinics, VLS staff attorneys supervise volunteer law students who perform client intakes. After determining eligibility and performing due diligence, VLS offers the veteran either on-the-spot advice, brief service such as helping with pleadings, or full legal representation, up to and including representing the veteran in court or in front of state/federal agencies. VLS is the only legal aid organization in Massachusetts whose mission is to serve veterans. VLS prioritizes veterans where legal representation may yield a life-changing result that restores a veterans self-sufficiency and dignity. We prioritize cases for the disabled, victims of domestic violence, and cases where there is a significant disparity in resources or the opposing party has representation. Veterans Legal Services serves over 500 veterans cases per year at its legal clinics. Previously known as Shelter Legal Services, in late 2013 we began doing business as Veterans Legal Services to better reflect our mission of serving those who serve our country.
