The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to hunger relief, founded in 1982. It serves 12 counties in North Texas, including Dallas and Collin, with a mission to provide food for today and hope for tomorrow. NTFB distributes food through a network of nearly 500 Partner Agencies, such as food pantries and shelters, and has provided 144 million meals in its 2023 fiscal year. NTFB collects surplus food donations and purchases food items, including fresh produce and non-perishable groceries, to support individuals and families facing food insecurity. The organization mobilizes around 31,000 volunteers each year for food sorting and distribution. NTFB also engages in advocacy efforts to promote food donations and protect donors.
