About the Person
Craig Peterson is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Sedgwick. He will lead the development and execution of all firmwide Human Resources programs, policies and procedures. He is resident in the firm`s Kansas City, MO, office. Peterson joins the firm after having served as vice president of Human Resources at CBIZ & Mayer, Hoffman & McCann, a publicly traded professional services organization that provides benefits and insurance consulting, auditing, accounting and valuation services to major clients and corporations around the world. As CBIZ`s vice president of Human Resources, Peterson was responsible for directing the company`s nationwide human resources vision for the benefits and insurance division, which includes more than 1,200 employees in 30 major markets. Additionally, he had previously directed CBIZ`s human resources for the firm`s financial services division, which consisted of more than 2,400 employees. In addition to his experience at CBIZ, Peterson served as a human resources leader for The Gap, where he directed human resources operations for a nine-district region, including 125 stores in nine states. His experience also includes serving as director of Field Human Resources for H&R Block, as well as director of Human Resources for the State of Kansas` Department of Health & Environment and its Juvenile Justice Authority. Peterson earned his master`s degree from Webster University and his bachelor`s degree from Washburn University.
