About the Person

As the top Human Resources executive, Mr. D. Craig Hackett’s primary focus has been on the development and execution of the human capital strategy for HeiTech Services. He leads a team of dedicated Human Resources professionals whose responsibilities include staffing, compensation, benefits, talent management and leadership and employee development. Beginning in March, 2009, Mr. Hackett accomplished a 180 degree turn around in the perception of the Human Resources department and reengineered the existing organization into one totally dedicated to customer service. Mr. Hackett put into operation a strategic plan for the HR organization that included a mission statement, goals, strategies and action plans designed to align the human capital goals with key corporate initiatives. The plan also succeeded in focusing the operational efforts of the individual HR team members. He has been instrumental in the redefinition of the corporate core values and the creation of a corresponding employment branding document for both internal and external use. Additional accomplishments have included the redesign and implementation of a comprehensive performance management program as well as the design and implementation of an executive incentive bonus program tied to key corporate and other line-of-sight measurements and goals. Prior to joining HeiTech Services, Mr. Hackett spent 12 years at General Electric in numerous HR generalist positions, including the last 5 years as an HR executive. His GE experience happened to coincide with the Jack Welch years where the human resources organization was viewed as both a strategic and integral part of the overall business. At GE Information Services, which later became Global eXchange Services, Mr. Hackett provided executive Human Resources leadership to key business functions which included technical operations, engineering, marketing and global sales. Following the sale of Global eXchange Services by GE, Mr. Hackett became Vice President, Human Resources at Ingenium Corporation, a mid-sized federal contractor located in Greenbelt, MD. At Ingenium, Mr. Hackett was a key executive business partner and held an active top secret clearance. He led a team of 6 Human Resources, Facilities and National Security professionals whose mission was to strategically support the growth initiatives of the business. Mr. Hackett graduated cum laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a concentration in German. He currently holds an active Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification and has earned an ITIL v3 Foundation Certification. Mr. Hackett often states, “The credibility of any Human Resources organization is always based on operational excellence.”
