Leon County is home to Florida`s capital, Tallahassee, which was established in 1824. Legislative and executive offices and the State House and Senate chambers are located here. As a political subdivision of the state, the County is guided by an elected, seven-member Board of County Commissioners. Five members of the Board are elected to serve specific commission districts, and two members are elected at-large. The County Administrator is appointed by the Board to oversee all functions, directives and policies.
The City of Ballwin is a fourth class city under Missouri law with a Mayor-Alderman-City Administrator form of government. The Board of Aldermen consists of eight members, two Aldermen are elected from each of four wards. The Mayor and Aldermen serve two year terms, with four Aldermen being elected each year. The City Administrator is the chief administrative official of the City and is responsible to the Mayor and Aldermen for the administration of the City government. The Board of Aldermen meet on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. All meetings are held in the Board Room of the Ballwin Police Department, 300 Park Drive, and are open to the public. Cascade Charter Township is situated in the southeastern section of Kent County, approximately 10 miles southeast of Grand Rapids. One of the most defining features of the Township is the Thornapple River, which divides the Township into east and west halves. Cascade quickly began to grow, and in 1854 the first General Store and Post Office were built.
Kent County is a county located in the central part of the U.S. state of Delaware. As of the 2020 census, the population was 181,851, making it the least populous county in Delaware. The county seat is Dover, the state capital of Delaware.
