About the Person

Christina McClung leads the US and International Card Recruiting team, which is responsible for delivering an exceptional candidate experience to the more than 6,000 associates it recruits annually to Capital One’s Credit Card business in the U.S., Canada and U.K. McClung joined Capital One in 2010 to lead the Centralized Recruiting team and worked with a number of clients across the company before moving to the Card Recruiting team in 2012. Prior to joining Capital One, McClung was chief recruiting officer for the Virginia Group, where she oversaw training and development for the recruitment team across the organization. Before that, she was director of Recruitment and Selection at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, where she was recognized as the #1 recruiter in the country. McClung began her career at Cintas Corporation as the human resources manager for their Richmond location, where she was responsible for all facets of the HR function including hiring, benefits, training and compensation. McClung has also managed a private consulting business, which allowed her to consult nationally with other recruiters and HR professionals on talent acquisition strategies. McClung graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentration in Human Resources. While at Virginia Tech, McClung founded “The Big Event,” which is now the second largest student-run community service day in the nation. This event now has over 7,800 volunteers that help the Blacksburg, Virginia community each year by completing over 1,200 service projects. She continues to be actively involved in the community, spending hours giving back to local charities and is the past president of the Western Henrico Rotary Club.
